Kenya Lifesaving Federation (KLF) is a nationally and internationally accredited authority dedicated to promoting water safety, professional lifesaving, and aquatic competence across Kenya. For over 20 years, we have trained lifeguards, swimming instructors, scuba divers, pool operators, first aid responders, and students—building a strong foundation of lifesaving skills and awareness throughout the country and neighbouring regions.

Empowering Aquatic Safety Across the World
KLF offers a wide range of accredited training and safety programs, including lifesaving courses, swimming instruction, scuba diving certification, first aid, pool maintenance, and instructor development. We also organize lifesaving competitions, junior championships, beach events, and water polo activities to promote skills, teamwork, and a culture of aquatic preparedness.

Training is conducted continuously at our Kasarani headquarters and throughout our nationwide branches, ensuring individuals, schools, and institutions across Kenya have access to professional lifesaving education. Our distributed network makes water safety training inclusive, accessible, and community-driven.

Health & Safety Leadership
KLF leads the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) technical committee responsible for developing and gazetting over 10 aquatic safety standards.
We also conduct pool audits and safety inspections across the country in partnership with the County Public Health Department, ensuring compliance, safety, and quality in aquatic facilities.
